My name is April Einsweiler. I grew up in McHenry, Illinois.  I moved to Galena to attend school at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a teaching certificate. In 2006 I received a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Olivet. In 2015 I continued my education once again with Olivet University and received a Teacher Leadership endorsement.   

I got married to my husband in 2001 and started teaching at River Ridge the same year.  We have three wonderful children that keep us very busy outside of school. We also have two golden retrievers, a cat, turtle, frogs, lizard, and fish. My hobbies include; tennis, walking, boating, camping-ANYTHING outside and of course teaching! I teach many different science classes at Ridge such as Biology, Biology II, Environmental Education, Integrated  Biology, Life Science and Anatomy and Physiology.  I am also the freshmen adviser. I believe that everyone learns a different way and I try to teach to all the different learning styles.
