The 24/25 school year is almost here! Please make note of these upcoming fall photo dates. We are excited to be partnering with Weber Portrait Design again this year.
Middle and high school students will be following new bell schedules this year! Classes are slightly longer than previous years, allowing for more instructional time with teachers. Please review the schedules to get ready!
Middle schoolers will have a "split period" for 6th hour. They will attend 6th hour for a few minutes to get started, eat lunch, and then return to their 6th hour class immediately following lunch.
High schoolers attending the CTE will have more classroom time in their programs! Please be sure to arrive at school promptly in the morning to complete lunch count and catch the CTE bus, which will depart from River Ridge at 7:55.
Reminder: all students in preschool (1st year), Kindergarten, 6th & 9th grades need a physical to start school. All Middle School and High School athletes need a sport physical before they can practice next week!
Free Summer Meals available at River Ridge!

Back To School News for Elementary Students
Start time for Elementary will be 7:50! This is 10 minutes earlier than in previous years and will NOT change anything for those students taking the bus in the morning. Students can still eat breakfast if needed. If you are driving your student to school, know that instruction starts at 7:50. Getting students to school every day on time gives them the best chance for learning!
Elementary Back To School Night will be held on Thursday, August 15 5:30-7:00.
The First Day of School for grades K-12 is Friday, August 16. Once again, school starts at 7:50 and we will dismiss at 1:30. First day of Pre School is Monday, August 19.
Elementary Jump Start summer school program starts on Thursday, August 1st! The program runs from 8:30-11:30 with bus pick up at the Old School in Elizabeth and Hanover Park District at 8:15. Drop off at those points after school will happen at 11:40. Please send your student with a water bottle. We are really looking forward to seeing the kids !!
Congratulations! 📝
Due to pending bad weather, the School Board meeting will be moved from Monday, July 15th at 6:00pm to Tuesday, July 16th at 6:00pm. Stay safe!
Went out yesterday to give the kids an update on the birds on the playground. I didn't find any birds, but look what I did find- Three little blue eggs! Can you guess what kind of birds they will become?

STATE CHAMPIONS!! Your FFA Wildcats won the final round of Greenhand Quiz bowl in Springfield during the State FFA Convention. It was a nail-biter of a win as they were tied for first at the end of the championship round. Team members Hamish Boden, Jackson Goldsmith, Natalie Keleher, Nick Cobine and Graci Allen then each had the opportunity to answer one final buzzer question each while the other team had thre same opportunity. Your Wildcats were quick on the buzzers to beat out Kewanee.
We also had four FFA members receive thier State FFA Degrees at the convention. Congratulations to Lucas Holland, Izzy Haring, Graci Vanderheyden and Arthur Horn!
