
High School Boys' Basketball playin the Forreston Tournament starting tomorrow.


The Saturday portion of the middle school boys basketball tournament is cancelled due to a possible ice storm. The 3rd place game and championship will take place on Monday Dec 16th.

Important information for the Elementary concert on 12/18 and Elementary dress up days for the last week of school before break! Check out the details so you know what to expect. Students will be brought directly to the gym by parents on the night of the the concert. No need to bring them to classrooms! Check out the details here!

8th Grade Mini FACS students stepped into the kitchen today and made some pancakes during their equipment and kitchen utensils unit. Delicious!

Agriculture students had the opportunity to go to Highland for the Northern Illinois Ag Industry Expo last week! They learned about the variety of occupations available in agricultural and talked with over 40 local ag businesses who were a part of the career fair.



Friday afternoon the members of RRMS Student Council, 4H, and the 8th Grade Class volunteered to help set up the luminaries for Christmas in the Village!

Consumer Education students conducted a taste test of Name brand vs Store Brand products when learning about consumer purchasing. Which products do you see a difference in?

Congratulations to Makenna Wurster for being selected as our Rotary Student of the Quarter! Makenna received this nomination from her teachers for her perseverance, willingness to take on a new challenge, and overall growth since starting high school. Makenna and other area sophomores were honored at a Rotary luncheon at the Desoto House Hotel last week.




Foods classes enjoyed roasting pumpkins, roasting pumpkin seeds and making pies to take home for thanksgiving! Thanks to Dittmar Farms for the Pumpkins.










The Horticulture class finished up their wreaths this week. They did a great job!




Congratulations to Nick Cobine on his 1st place finish at the section FFA AgEd Leadership Development Event (LDE)! For this contest he created a lesson plan, lesson materials and assessment and then was judged on teaching a 10 minute portion of the lesson plan. He also was graded on answering self-reflection questions. He will now move on to the district event in February!
