1st hour students got moving with big ball volleyball in PE class today!
Our 5th grade trombone class set up their trombones the other day and made their first sounds! These musicians are working hard and I can't wait to see how far we progress!!!
The FFA Chapter had their first event last night, the Section One "Meet and Greet" hosted at Pearl City HS. There were 150 FFA members from the area who competed in a bags tournament, played kickball and basketball. The team of Avery Engle and Cora Ritchie were the runners-up in the Championship bags game
Section officer Ty Spahn was voted on to be the one to get "dunked" by the chapter who won the food drive (West Carroll). It was a great night to mingle and meet new people!
The kids had an early dismissal today, but your elementary teachers stayed and worked with Sarah Meador from the ROE on unpacking English/Language Arts standards. Teachers identified learning progressions and success criteria for learning standards which helps make their instruction meet the needs of all our learners. Thank you teachers for being so dedicated to upping your game!

The Ag Mechanics class is working on making rustic wooden flags! They will be making the full size 40 inch version as well as a smaller one this year. Both sizes will be available at the Craft Fair in a few weeks.

The AFS/International Club held a picnic on Sunday to welcome foreign exchange student Edoardo from Italy.
The horticulture class completed their first floral design today!
5th grade percussionist starting out strong on mallet instruments! We are so excited! Our white belt test is coming up soon!
The Horticulture class went on a field trip today to Rocky Waters vineyard. The Spahn family were excellent hosts as they showed the students how to hand pick the grapes and then how the grape combine worked. They also got to see how the grapes are processed into wine and fermented.
Sully Bower, Mr. Wurster, and Mr. Dickerson sported Hawaiian shirts for retro day during homecoming week.

The middle school business students cranked out the complimentary high school buttons this past week. Additional buttons and magnets may be ordered at any time. Orders turned in tomorrow will be processed this week. Late orders will be produced at a future time.
